Bourree Project

THE PARKINSON’S DANCE CLASS participated in the Bourree Project which was an initiative where dance for Parkinson’s teachers and participants had access to one of Mark Morris’s most distinctive works entitled – Falling Down Stairs. It was set to J.S. Bach’s Third Suite for Unaccompanied Cello. The Bourree Project focuses on the first part of the Suite’s 5th movement, entitled The Bourree. This video includes THE PARKINSON’S DANCE CLASS which took place in 2019 at the Harry & Rose Samson Community Center. Other classes from around the US and the world were part of this video compilation. SPECIAL THANKS TO THE WISCONSIN PARKINSON’S ASSOCIATION AND THE JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER. OUR CLASS IS LISTED AS WHITEFISH BAY, WI, Susanne Carter was the lead instructor on the project.
